Clothes To Kids
Clothes To Kids (CTK) is a local Tampa Bay non-profit who provides new and quality used clothing to low-income or in crisis school-age children, free of charge. Our goal is for every child to have the confidence and self-esteem needed to stay in school and achieve academic success. Since 2002, we have provided more than 190,000 wardrobes to children in need. Kids in both Pinellas and Hillsborough County schools who qualify to shop with us can do so twice in 12 months where they select up to 22 clothing items completely free of charge!
Clothes To Kids runs solely on both monetary and clothing donations from our community. With these donations, we can provide up to 5 tops, 4 bottoms, 5 NEW pairs of underwear, 5 NEW pairs of socks, a pair of shoes, a jacket (in season), an optional dress and accessories to each shopper as donations allow. Each year, we provide more than 80,000 pairs of new underwear and socks to our shoppers and more than 15,000 pairs of shoes. In our busiest time of the year (back-to-school), we see more than 50 shoppers a day, our clothing donations go FAST! To ensure our stores remain stocked for each kid’s shopping experience, we have two annual fundraisers.
Our next fundraising event is “SHOEtober” and will begin October 1st. It’s our “Shoe”raiser! In conjunction with “SHOEtober” this year we plan to have a golf tournament, “Swing Fore Shoes.”
Swing Fore Shoes will be played on the Eastlake Woodlands Golf Course on October 29th – tee off is 9:00AM. Want to play? Thank you to the Palm Harbor Library for your continued support as a clothing donation drop off location, in addition to our three stores (Clearwater, Tampa and St. Pete)! Along with our consistent need of new underwear (especially young boys, young men, and young women sizes S-XXL) and elementary size kids clothing, we are always happy to accept elementary size shoes!
