New Library Vehicle

As part of the library’s Long Range Plan, we are constantly seeking new ways to provide innovative services.

Goal #2 – SERVICES:  Place greater emphasis on the library as a “learning destination” through an array of cultural, educational and recreational programs and services. Seek new service initiatives.

Objective 1 – Maintain and expand on- and off-site services offered to adults, teens, and children.

One way to accomplish this goal was to purchase a long-sought library vehicle which would extend outreach services. It could function as a mobile technology center, serve as a portable library at community fairs and events, be a conveyor of art exhibits and provide home-bound delivery service as well as being a passenger vehicle for staff attending meetings and conferences.

After investigating several Palm Harbor based automobile dealerships, a 2019 Honda Pilot was selected.

This could not have been made possible in part without the generous support of several community members. They include:

  • Anna Burson
  • Donation from Commissioner Pat Gerard’s Campaign
  • Jane and Roger Kenyon
  • Agnes Kuhn
  • Jane Martin
  • Pat Walsh

Thank you all!
