Suncoast Genealogy Society
The Suncoast Genealogy Society (SGS) is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the teaching of modern and ethical genealogy research techniques to the membership and general public through the use of meetings, workshops, lectures, field trips, and other educational activities. Founded in 1983, SGS serves Northern Pinellas and Southern Pasco Counties.
Genealogy Assistance
The Suncoast Genealogy Society offers genealogy research assistance at the Palm Harbor Library. No registration is required.
SGS offers genealogy research assistance at the Palm Harbor Library each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:30 – 4:00 PM.
Meeting Schedule
SGS meetings are normally held on the fourth Saturday of the month beginning at 1:30PM. We begin with a brief business meeting followed by a presentation on various topics of interest to genealogists. Our monthly meetings are member support but open to the public.
The SGS DNA Interest Group meets on the second Monday of the month at 1:00PM. We focus on the various facets of using DNA in our family research. These meetings are also open to the public.
