English Language Tutoring

English Language Tutoring

The Literacy Council of Palm Harbor Library serves adults who read below eighth-grade level or for whom English is a second or third language. It is their belief that they can make a difference by improving an adult’s ability to read, write, and speak English through one-on-one tutoring.  This service is free.

Please call the Literacy Office at 727-373-7034 and leave a voicemail if you want to receive literacy services (adult students only).  Or, feel free to come to the information desk inside our library for more information.

For additional information, go to The Literacy Council of Palm Harbor.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer literacy tutor, fill out the Adult Volunteer Application online.  If you can read, you can teach English to an adult English language learner.  Training, guidance, and resources are provided.  Tutors who successfully complete training will be matched with one adult student.
